> My son is doing a research on Thomas Jefferson. Would you please answer a > couple of questions to complete the project: Question #1; What were the > names of Thomas Jefferson's brother and sisters? Question #2; What did he > like to do as a child? Your help is greatly appreciated. Peter and Jane Randolph Jefferson, parents of Thomas Jefferson, had ten children: Jane, Mary, Thomas, Elizabeth, Martha, Peter Field, [Unnamed son], Lucy, Anna Scott, Randolph. The last two were twins. Dumas Malone in his biography says about Thomas Jefferson that "No influence upon him was more abiding than that of Nature." He lived most of his life in thinly settled areas of Virginia, and was a great lover of outdoor activities. It was also said that he loved reading, and that he read all of his father's books by the age of five. For more information, please refer to Dumas Malone's, "Jefferson the Virginian," which is volume one of his six-volume biography of Jefferson, and to Willard Sterne Randall's one-volume biography, "Thomas Jefferson; A Life."
