The book, "Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings: An American Controversy," by Annette Gordon-Reed is available at discount from Amazon.com and from most local bookstores, such as Barnes and Noble. It may be that if you searched for the title beginning with "Jefferson...." instead of "Thomas Jefferson..." that may be the reason why you were not able to find it. Also, the author's last name is Gordon-Reed, not Reed, and that may be another reason for having difficulty locating the book. I have never communicated directly with Ms. Gordon-Reed, and cannot give you her address. I understand that she is on the faculty at the New York Law School.
