DID JEFFERSON HAVE A MIDDLE NAME?

Apparently it was not the custom in the Jefferson family to use middle names, except when named after someone else. Jefferson's ancestors had no middle names. One of his daughters was named Jane Randolph Jefferson, after TJ's mother, whose maiden name was Jane Randolph.
