JEFFERSON'S THOUGHTS ON JESUS AND THE JEFFERSON BIBLE

That letter is dated September 18, 1813, and can be found in the Memorial Edition (ME) of Jefferson's Writings, Lipscomb and Bergh, ed., vol. 13, pg. 376. >Also a letter to Charles Thomson describing the Jefferson >bible: > > "... a paradigma of his doctrines, made by cutting > the texts out of the book and arranging them on the > pages of a blank book, in a certain order of time > or subject. A more beautiful or precious morsel of > ethics I have never seen." That letter is dated January 9, 1816, and is found in ME 14:385. The Memorial Edition can be found in most large public and university libraries.
