Requests for Information Related to Thomas Jefferson

>I am completely and utterly thankful, in the sincerest way, for this web
>site. It has allowed me to come to realize that Thomas Jefferson,
>a brilliant man, was not so brilliant as the most common of Christians,
>who believe not only in the morals of the teaching of Jesus, but in the
>obvious and indisputable fact of his diety, as seen in every ancient
>manuscript of the bible, and his salvation. Once again thank you for
>showing me that God chooses the foolish things of this world to
>the wise.

Perhaps you think in your own mind you are being sincere, but your
comments come across to me as sarcastic and quite insincere. It is like
saying, "Thank you for showing me how stupid you are." Why is it that
most Christians think in such self-righteous terms? It is just that kind of
two-faced comment that makes people outside of the Christian faith think
that Christians are all a bunch of hypocrites.

>In closing I should warn you to be careful about perpetuating the
>Jefferson Bible, for the Lord warns those who would molest his Word.
>Revelation 22:18-19 says, "I warn everyone who hears the words of the
>prophesy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add
>him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words
>from this book of prophesy, God will take away from him his share in
>tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book." I
>plead with you sir, before you continue to perpetuate the Jefferson
>Bible, to truly do the research yourself to see what the scriptures
>really say about Jesus. The Jefferson bible is a false book, and it is
>evil. It denies every essential characteristic of the Messiah and there
>is absolutely no salvation in it. Find the Lord. Ask Jesus the Christ
>to open your eyes . I speak to you in love.

First you thank me for this website, then you warn me about continuing
it. Doesn't that contradiction suggest to you how two-faced your
comments are?

The Jefferson Bible does not claim to be THE Bible. It is merely a
selection of texts which put forth the moral and ethical teachings of
Jesus. How can it be false and evil? Everytime someone preaches from
the Bible, they convey only a part. How can even a single verse of the
New Testament be false and evil, much less over a thousand of them?

I would suggest to you that you not put yourself in the judgment seat of
God. Leave such things to God himself. Compared to Him, you are
infinitely stupid. You cannot see into the heart of man, and you judge
men according to your own meager understanding, not according to the
infinite wisdom of Almighty God. No matter how much scripture you
read, that will never put you on a par with God Himself.

I suggest that you humble yourself, and not be so arrogant and proud as
to sit yourself in God's place. Trust God. He is perfectly capable of
taking care of Himself. He doesn't need you to be His judge on earth.
